Svilen Ivanov, 23, Madalin Stoica, 22, and Narcis Dutu, 23, of South Street, Romford, RM1, have been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and affray, after a group of males were ‘jumped’ travelling home from Atik nightclub in Romford. The victims were not known to their attackers.

Svilen Ivanov, Narcis Dutu, and Madalin Stoica all appeared at Barking Magistrates Court on Monday. Because of the unprovoked attack, a 20 year old man was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

As we understand, Ivanov, Dutu, and Stoica attacked a man and his friends who were travelling home from Atik nightclub as they approached South Street, Romford, RM1 for an unestablished reason, and it has been reported to be ‘completely unprovoked’.

Atik nightclub, sexual assault “hotspot”

Atik nightclub has been embroiled in controversy in recent years. Last year we reported that Atik nightclub was declared a ‘sexual assault hotspot’ in the local area, as the Metropolitan Police responded to 999 calls connected to events at the venue at-least 10 times within a 12 month period.

A Met spokesperson said the crimes regarding Atik Romford included allegations of rape, sexual assault, and even physical assaults.

Paul Trevers, head of policing for Havering, Redbridge, and Barking and Dagenham said South Street, RM1 – where Atik and The Goose are located – was an area of great concern.
